Our Story...

Her story...

I met Sagar while he was completing his Masters at a friend’s party and we became good friends. Being friends with Sagar felt so natural from the beginning, he tends to put everyone around him at ease and is great at bringing people together. In fact, my friends often hang out with him even when I am not around because he is one of those people who can find something fun to do all the time.

When I was moving to Colorado, Sagar threw me an amazing surprise going away party; that is when I first realized just how special he is. He invited people that he had never talked to before just because he knew how much it would mean to me to have them there. I wasn’t sure our friendship could survive my move to Colorado, but it did. And then when Sagar got a job in Fort Collins a year later, everything kind of fell into place. We started seeing each other a lot and I noticed that I was so much happier whenever he was around.

I’m not quite sure when I started thinking of Sagar as more than a friend, it just kind of happened. The way he proposed confirmed that he is so good at knowing what makes me happy and is willing to do what it takes to make that happen. I could not have asked for a better friend or partner in life, and I look forward to all the adventures that are to come.

His story...

While it may have taken Surbhi some time to realize her feelings for me, I think I always knew in my heart that one day we would arrive at this moment. We met at a party in 2009 and became good friends soon after. What I admired most about Surbhi when I was first getting to know her is how much she cared for those around her. She supports everyone she loves and goes above and beyond to care for them. Her selfless nature continues to inspire me.

Over the years, as our bond grew and I got to know someone who not only shared things about herself, but helped me to learn new things about myself. I have had many new experiences with her: the first time I ever went hiking was with her, my first time skiing, my first time zip lining, my first time rafting… basically every adventure I have had has been with her. Being around Surbhi is like a burst of fresh air.

Surbhi and I are so different yet we work so well together because we complement each other perfectly. If I am having a hard day at work, she will send me silly jokes and make me laugh; and if she sees a spider, I will be there to get rid of it. Spending these past few years getting to know Surbhi has been the best time of my life and I can’t wait to share more adventures with her.
